Decent and Unique, but lacking some story etiquette
I think I see what they were trying to do with this movie, but toward the end they switched gears without using the clutch. The movie is unique. I like off beat movies because they don't follow the Hollywood cookie cutter method of making movies, but this one needed a bit more directorial finesse. Jump cuts are not good in editing, and they are not good in story telling either. However, I enjoyed the concept of the story even if some of it lacked logic. If I explain any further I will be revealing spoilers. It is good for hardcore sci-fi fans, but if you are spoiled by watching million dollar movies you probably won't like it. I am giving a 6 vote because it has decent production quality, visual effects and an interesting concept... and I have seen way worse.
Watchable and Forgettable
After watching the movie, you think you have seen a very low budget movie of E.T. In fact, most of you have enough money in your wallet to make the same movie. The actors are doing their prime job, acting, so much so that you know they are acting. Apart from all of this, the foreign film is worth watching just for the attempt at putting their homework assignment of writing a play onto the big screen. The entire movie, except of a few minutes at the end, is set around their car and figuring out why they are in darkness, even though throughout the entire car scene, there is plenty of light for them to get around, including shadows. Yet, it is worth watching just for the bravery in producing a movie that could be played on stage at any high school or college. And, with some tweaking, it could even be a very interesting movie and reach an 8 out of 10.
