HK: Hentai Kamen - Abnormal Crisis (2016) Reviews
When there is a pervert inside each and everyone of us...
I enjoyed the 2013 movie "HK: Hentai Kamen" quite a lot, because it was so weird and outrageous to what you usually see from Japanese cinema. This 2016 sequel is equally hilarious and entertaining. It should be said that if you found no enjoyment in the 2013 movie, then you will not like this 2016 "HK: Hentai Kamen - Abnormal Crisis" either. Why? Well, because it is right up the same alley; same kind of weirdness, same kind of outrageous action, same kind of comedy. This is a continuation of the first movie, where the villain was killed in an explosion. Kyosuke (played by Ryohei Suzuki) has made a promise to Aiko (played by Fumika Shimizu) that he will no longer be the perverted hero Hentai Kamen. But when an old enemy resurfaces and all the panties in Japan are in jeopardy, Kyosuke must don the panties once again and save Japan and all the panties. Right, it is that hilarious and outrageous. I was more than genuinely amused and entertained by this 2016 movie at the hand of director Yûichi Fukuda. Especially because it really lived up to the 2013 movie in every aspect. I laughed a lot throughout the course of "HK: Hentai Kamen - Abnormal Crisis". The effects are good, as they were in the 2013 movie as well. Of course, this is not Hollywood million dollar CGI galore, but the special effects team still managed to pull out some great tricks and turn them into good effects. More hilarious moments, more sexy poses, more pervert signature moves, and more outrageous opponents. "HK: Hentai Kamen - Abnormal Crisis" has everything is needs to be a hit. If you haven't already gotten acquainted with Hentai Kamen, I suggest that you take the time to watch both movies, because they really are hilarious and entertaining.
Hentai Kamen, but better
Let's be honest, Hentai Kamen as a franchise is very, very weird. The first movie released in 2013 was very, very weird. What did this one do? Being even more very weird. Too keep it short, possibly my most favorite movie this year. It kept up with what it build up the first time, the same shitty VFX. BUT this time around, the whole exposition is SO MUCH better, the acting feels a bit more like watching an actual Hollywood movie and boy-oh-boy the camera work is good around this time. The story reminds me more and more of Spiderman... Coincidence? ;) And it's got a bit of Deadpool in it this time, too. So yeah, I was very happy with the movie, I can't wait for number 3! It can only be better if they keep this up. Btw I am not a movie reviewer and this is very subjective. Maybe it's complete crap. But it most certainly fixed what was missing in the first movie.
More of the same but not as good
I felt that the sequel isnt quite as good as the first, its kinda more of the same but with unimaginative villians. Other than the hot female teacher thats kinda seducing our hero the rest of the villains are really dumb and boring. They even brought the main villain(Tamao) from the first movie back from the dead somehow as the mastermind in our hero's downfall. I do hope that they would have more interesting foes if they decide to make a third movie. It would be interesting to see how HK deal with female villains or maybe a gay dude , anything but the same old straight males(pervert or not) that he has defeated with relative ease.
Ridiculous but still funny
The first movie was kinda bad and very strange so i didn't have any expectations for this sequel. but i think they actually improved to the first movie. its still ridiculous but a lot more funny somehow. the pacing of the movie was slightly better. but its still a movie you only watch once and probably forget about it.
