Missing: Sarajin Yeoja (2016) Reviews
Highly entertaining thriller
Ji-sun needs a vacation. She has a little child, she works non-stop, she has problems with his divorced husband and his mother, who want to take the child away from her... Luckily for Ji-sun, she has Han-mae, the woman that takes care of the baby while she is working. But one day, when she comes home, neither of them are there... What follows is a thrilling and gripping thriller, full of twists and hold-your-breath moments that will keep the viewer entertained all through its running time. Things keep happening and surprises pile on top of each other. It has some plot holes, but the rhythm, acting (even if sometimes there is some overacting) and the direction more than make up for it. The movie also includes some social criticism, as the events that unfold are based on the injustices of the societies we live in. The decisions taken by the characters make them more than black and white, and that is a strong point for the movie, as the viewer can relate and disagree with the characters and understand their motives.
Mothers
A overworked, divorced mom puts the wellbeing of her child in the hands of a nurturing nanny. Despite mom's hectic life things are working out just fine until nanny and baby don't come home one evening. If you're a mother, you'll probably love this. A mother's love for her child has no bounds. This was a well written, acted and filmed movie. There's not much to complain about outside of wanting to kill this woman's mother-in-law.I would've loved to have seen more interaction between the mother and nanny before the disappearance, just to understand their relationship a bit more. This was a nice watch. Totally worth it.
Koean never fails in thriller/mystery
Adding this review, because this movie deserves to be appreciated by more people. It's short around 90 mins and story moves in fast pace. Acting is so top notch that you'll feel pity for the characters.I thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely a must watch for everyone.
